WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Dave Taylor (R-OH), representing Ohio’s Second District, has been named to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure as well as the House Agriculture Committee for the 119th Congress.
Taylor, who was sworn into office on January 3, expressed enthusiasm for his new roles, emphasizing their potential impact on his district. “These committee assignments provide an opportunity to address the critical infrastructure and agricultural needs of rural Ohio,” Taylor stated. “I’m eager to work with my colleagues to enhance our district’s infrastructure, support our farmers and producers, and ensure broadband expansion for rural communities.”
The House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure oversees national transportation policy, infrastructure development, and disaster relief, among other responsibilities. Meanwhile, the House Agriculture Committee focuses on matters such as farming, food safety, and rural development.
Taylor’s assignments align with priorities in Ohio’s Second District, where agriculture and infrastructure are significant to the local economy. As he begins his congressional term, Taylor has pledged to advocate for policies that strengthen both sectors.
