ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — In a drug bust on January 5th, local law enforcement apprehended a suspect and seized a variety of narcotics and paraphernalia following an anonymous tip-off about a vehicle allegedly selling drugs to minors.

The incident unfolded when deputies were dispatched to Three Locks Road after receiving a report of a blue Ford Mustang dealing drugs to a juvenile female. Upon arrival, officers observed the vehicle speeding out of a driveway, almost causing a collision with the patrol car. After a brief pursuit, the vehicle came to a stop on Moss Hollow Road.

The driver, identified as Richard Runge, was taken into custody, while the female passenger fled on foot and remains at large. A search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia, suspected narcotics, and firearm magazines with ammunition.

Authorities found empty pen tubes, burnt foil, a scale, small baggies with suspected fentanyl, and other drug-related items inside the vehicle. They also confiscated $330 in cash and a cell phone from Runge. The evidence has been logged, and the suspected narcotics will be sent for testing.

Runge faces charges related to the narcotics and an additional citation for failing to yield the right of way. Further charges are pending the results of lab tests.

Local police have yet to release any additional information on the female suspect.
