CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Guardian is working to gather further details about a high-speed chase reportedly involving a stolen Ohio State Patrol (OSP) cruiser. At least that is what the Chillicothe Police Department said in their morning media reports.
The pursuit began just after 2:30 AM on Tuesday morning when officers from the Chillicothe Police Department and deputies with the Ross County Sheriff’s Office joined forces to chase down the suspect driving the stolen vehicle.
Preliminary reports indicate that a male subject had taken an OSP cruiser, and OSP units were already in pursuit when the suspect headed toward the city limits of Chillicothe along Route 772.
The Guardian has reached out to all involved agencies for additional details, including video footage from the theft and the subsequent chase. Authorities have not yet released further information on the identity of the suspect or the circumstances surrounding the theft.
