FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio — Emergency responders in Fayette County were dispatched to the scene of a serious crash early Monday morning. Authorities say the incident occurred at around 7:05 a.m. on the northbound entrance ramp to I-71 from Route 435. The collision involved a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle.
On arrival, crews found the driver of the car trapped inside the wreckage. Firefighters employed hydraulic rescue tools to extract the individual, who MedFlight subsequently airlifted to The Ohio State University’s Level 1 Trauma Center.
Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances leading up to the crash. No updates have been released regarding the patient’s condition.
