CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Ross Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has officially launched its 2025 Promotional Grant Assistance Program, offering $25,000 in funding to support local events and initiatives that boost tourism in Ross County.
The annual program provides financial assistance to organizations, attractions, and special events that help increase overnight stays, promote the region’s rich history and culture, and drive economic activity in local businesses.
Who Can Apply?
The Promotional Grant Assistance Program is open to both non-profit and for-profit organizations that can demonstrate how their event or program will attract visitors from beyond a 100-mile radius. The goal is to bring in tourists who will stay in local hotels, dine at area restaurants, and contribute to the local economy.
To be eligible, grant recipients must:
- Acknowledge the Ross Chillicothe CVB in all promotional materials.
- Attend the annual Tourism Banquet, where the funds will be awarded.
- Submit a completed application with all required documentation by 3:00 PM on March 14, 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
How the Grants Work
The $25,000 fund will be distributed based on demonstrated need and available program funds. Key points include:
- Grants will cover up to 50% of an event’s total budget.
- Marketing and promotional activities are eligible for funding.
- Administrative costs and capital improvements are not covered.
- Each organization may submit only one application per year.
