WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — Equity Brokerage, a construction firm has unveiled plans for Court House Station, a new retail development along U.S. Route 62 between Courthouse Parkway and Commerce Boulevard in Washington Court House, Ohio. The project, centered around a new road extension called Crossings Drive, aims to boost commercial activity in this growing Fayette County city, located about 40 miles southwest of Columbus.

The Court House Station site plan includes a 7,500-square-foot dental office on the first lot, northeast of the existing Holiday Inn Express, developed by Blue Pantheon Development Group. Adjacent to the dental office, 3,000 square feet of retail space remains available. A second lot is marked for future development, while a third lot facing U.S. Route 62 is designated for a potential gas station.

The development will feature a 10,000-square-foot multi-tenant retail building, including a 3,000-square-foot end-cap space with drive-through capability. The site will offer ample parking to accommodate visitors.

“This location is ideal, with strong visibility along U.S. Route 62 and proximity to U.S. Route 35,” said Nick Sansone, advisor at Equity Brokerage. “Our traffic survey shows about 3,923 vehicles passing daily, making it a prime spot for businesses.”

Crossings Drive, an extension of the existing road serving nearby businesses like Roosters restaurant, will improve access to the development. The project is strategically positioned south of Home Depot and near Copper Knoll Nursing Home.

In addition, the area south of Court House Station is set for significant residential growth. The City of Washington Court House Planning Commission has approved The Crossings of Washington Court House, a 622-unit residential project by D.R. Horton. The development will include townhouses, condominiums, and single-family homes, with groundbreaking planned for summer 2025. D.R. Horton recently broke ground on another local project, the Merritt Way subdivision off Dayton Avenue.
