MINFORD, Ohio — A 22-year-old Minford woman died early Friday in a single-vehicle crash on Taylor Hill Road, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Chandler E. Preston was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado northwest near the intersection of Bennett School House Road when the crash occurred at 2:05 a.m., according to the Portsmouth Dispatch Center.
Authorities said Preston veered off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and then drove off the left side, striking a ditch and overturning. She was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation. The Minford Volunteer Fire Department and Minford Squad 3 assisted at the scene.
