CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Ohio University Chillicothe is partnering with Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio to host a community donation drive later this month.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stevenson Center, 101 University Drive. Organizers say the drive will support local job seekers, OHIO Chillicothe students, and the broader community.
Donations of gently used clothing and household items will help stock the university’s Student Resource Center with professional attire for interviews, career fairs, and other career‑related events. The items will also support Goodwill’s employment and training programs.
Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio operates five activity and training centers that provide services to individuals with disabilities. The organization sells donated goods in stores and online, using the revenue to fund job training and placement services for people facing barriers to employment. Officials say donations also help extend the life of usable items, reducing waste and supporting sustainability efforts.
Accepted items include clothing and accessories, household goods, and electronics.
