JACKSON, Ohio — A high‑speed pursuit was underway in Jackson County on Wednesday as troopers chased a vehicle reaching speeds of 100 mph, according to initial reports from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the vehicle was originally flagged for fictitious tags and had fled from both OSP and the Waverly Police Department earlier this week. The chase moved onto Erwin Hollow Road as troopers continued to pursue.

OSP has requested authorization to perform a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle. No additional details were immediately available.

  • Troopers have identified the suspect vehicle as a red four‑door Cadillac sedan with Kentucky tags. The car was previously reported for fictitious plates and had fled from OSP and Waverly police earlier this week. The pursuit remains active.
