JACKSON COUNTY, Ohio — A second high‑speed pursuit in as many days tore through Jackson County Thursday morning, ending in a crash, a foot chase, and the arrest of a driver who had a woman and child in the vehicle, according to initial law enforcement reports.

The chase began around 10:18 a.m. on U.S. Route 32, where deputies reported a white Dodge SUV driven by a Black male traveling at speeds reaching 90 mph. The pursuit moved east toward Jackson, passing just north of the U.S. 35 exit before entering the city limits.

The SUV later crashed near the U.S. 35 and U.S. 32 interchange, prompting the driver to flee on foot into the surrounding area. Law enforcement took the suspect into custody around 10:30 a.m.

Authorities said a female passenger and a child were inside the SUV during the pursuit. No additional details were immediately released. Medics were requested to transport the vehicle’s occupants to the hospital.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
