CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau has opened applications for its 2026 Promotional Grant Assistance Program, offering funding to help market events and attractions aimed at boosting tourism in Chillicothe and Ross County.

The annual program provides financial support to nonprofit and for-profit organizations that can demonstrate their events or programs will attract visitors from outside the region and increase overnight stays. Officials said the effort is designed to promote a positive image of the area, encourage spending at local businesses, and highlight new or expanded events that showcase the region’s culture and history.

A total of $25,000 is available for the 2026 grant cycle. Funding may be used for marketing and promotional activities and is capped at 50% of an event’s total budget. Administrative expenses and capital improvement costs are not eligible.

Applicants must show how their event or program will promote tourism in Ross County. Grant recipients are required to credit the Ross-Chillicothe CVB in promotional materials and have representation at the bureau’s annual Tourism Banquet, where the awards will be presented.

Organizations may submit one application per year. Completed applications, along with all required supporting documents, must be submitted by 3 p.m. on March 16, 2026. Late submissions will not be considered.

Guidelines and application materials are available at VisitChillicotheOhio.com. Additional information can be obtained by contacting the Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau at (740) 702-7677.
