CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Two Circleville eateries were cited for health and safety violations during recent inspections by the Pickaway County Health Department.

Dairy Queen, located at 702 S. Court St., received four critical and three non-critical violations during a Jan. 20 inspection. Inspectors noted issues including improper use of a handwashing sink, sanitizer levels below state requirements, food debris on equipment, and an unlabeled chemical spray bottle. Several violations were corrected during the inspection, including replacing the sanitizer and labeling the chemical container. Non-critical issues included grime on equipment pipes, gaps between sinks and walls, and food debris on floors and walls.

Hokkaido Sushi & Chinese, at 23519 S. 23 Hwy, was cited for one critical and two non-critical violations following a Jan. 16 inspection. Critical issues included improper use of a handwashing sink, which was corrected during the inspection. Non-critical concerns included food stored on the floor and grime on equipment surfaces, which were also addressed.

Health officials said corrections were made on-site in most cases.
