WAVERLY, Ohio — Valley View Health Centers, part of the Community Action Committee of Pike County, has welcomed Dr. Sharon Ware, a family medicine physician, to its Waverly Health Center. Dr. Ware joined the clinic on Jan. 5, expanding access to care for patients in Pike County and surrounding communities.

Dr. Ware is trained in addiction medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment, a hands-on technique used to address conditions such as musculoskeletal pain, headaches, and respiratory issues. She emphasizes whole-person care, considering lifestyle, environment, and overall health in treatment plans.

“I identify deeply with the health disparities that can exist in rural areas,” Dr. Ware said. “Limited access to care can make communities more vulnerable to poor health outcomes. My goal is to provide high-quality, evidence-based care while building trust with patients.”

Dr. Ware’s clinical interests include preventive medicine, occupational health, and care for neurodivergent patients, including those with ADHD and autism spectrum disorder. She also focuses on serving individuals experiencing housing insecurity, mental health challenges, or addiction.

The Waverly Health Center is located at 227 Valley View Drive. Patients seeking appointments with Dr. Ware can call (740) 947-7726 or visit valleyviewhealth.org.
