CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Board of Commissioners will convene Tuesday morning for a full slate of presentations, proclamations, and an economic development work session.

According to the Feb. 17 meeting agenda Feb 17, commissioners will begin at 9 a.m. with routine commissioners and county administrator business at the county courthouse.

At 9:30 a.m., representatives from the Southern Ohio Cleanup Company (SOCCO), including Director Shawn Jordan and Program Manager Pat Timbes, are scheduled to address the board. SOCCO is the new contractor in charge of clean-up at the former Atomic Plant in Piketon.

Two proclamations are set for mid-morning. At 10 a.m., Brittany Greenwalt will present a Pickaway Ross proclamation, followed by a Black History Month proclamation at 10:15 a.m. presented by Adrienne D’Souza.

Theressa Reep is scheduled to appear at 10:30 a.m. regarding America250.

Commissioners will recess from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., then reconvene for a 1 p.m. economic development work session.

Afternoon presentations include Heather Cunningham of Soil & Water at 2 p.m., followed by Myranda Vance and Michael Benson representing the Ross County Park District at 2:30 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the Ross County Courthouse, 2 N. Paint St., Chillicothe.
