DAYTON, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Development opened registration Wednesday for the 2026 Ohio Business Matchmaker, a two-day government contracting event set for April 22-23 at Wright State University, according to a state announcement.

The event connects small businesses with government agencies and prime contractors through pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings. Training sessions are scheduled for April 22, followed by matchmaking meetings on April 23, the department reported.

“Success in government contracting starts with understanding the process,” Lydia Mihalik, director of the Ohio Department of Development, said in a statement. A webinar series began March 4 to help businesses prepare, with recordings available 48 hours after each session, according to the announcement.

Last year’s event facilitated more than 1,500 meetings in a single day. Businesses can register at OhioBusinessMatchmaker.com, the department said.
