CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Pickaway Manor, a health and rehabilitation center on Clark Drive in Circleville, is facing a significant workforce disruption after Michigan-based Optalis Professional Services LLC filed a WARN notice with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services indicating 122 employees will be affected by a layoff or closure effective June 30, 2026.

The notice, received by the state on April 29, 2026, states that Pickaway Manor will no longer be managed by Optalis Healthcare and that the facility has hired a new management company.

On the state’s WARN notice form, Optalis checked nearly every available reason for the workforce action — including financial difficulties, economic downturn, mergers and acquisitions, strategic shifts, market competition, decline in demand, regulatory changes, technological advancements, supply chain issues, and debt obligations.

No severance information was disclosed in the filing. The facility does not have union representation, according to the notice.

The 122 affected workers have until June 30 before the layoffs take effect. The notice does not state if the new company will retain or hire back former employees.
