CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Circleville Fire Department has reached full staffing once again after welcoming Firefighter/EMT Cole Warner to its ranks, the city said Tuesday.
Warner joins the department as its newest firefighter and emergency medical technician, the city said in a Facebook post announcing the hire. With Warner’s addition, the department is fully staffed, restoring the roster to capacity after an opening earlier this year.
The department, headquartered at 586 N. Court St. and led by Fire Chief Brian Thompson, has been working to grow its ranks in recent years with help from a federal Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant, which has helped fund additional firefighter positions. The department reached full staffing in August after hiring Firefighter/EMT Lucas Lowery and Firefighter/Paramedic Cullen Shields, before an opening emerged again ahead of Warner’s hiring.
City officials said they were proud of the department’s dedication to providing fire suppression and emergency medical services to the Circleville community, and wished Warner success in his new role.
