SOUTH BLOOMFIELD, Ohio — The South Bloomfield Summer Market will hold its final sunset market of the season Friday, Aug. 7, drawing vendors, food trucks and live entertainment to Marvin Webster Park before the recurring event shifts to a Saturday-morning schedule in September.
The market runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the park, 5000 Park Place, according to a Facebook post from the village. Organizers said the lineup includes seasonal produce, plants, cut flowers, honey, baked goods, farm-fresh eggs, beef and pork, tallow products, maple syrup, kettle corn, lemonade, sourdough and homemade crafts.
April Peck Realtor Network, one of the market’s sponsors, will hand out free market bags to shoppers, the village said. Four food trucks — Down Home Treats, Smokin O’s BBQ, Kay’s Pies & Cobblers and Lil Sweets Mini Donuts — are scheduled to serve dinner and dessert.
Roundtown Radio will provide music, Ms. Claus will hand out free books, Hope Grows Now will make balloon animals, and Fluff Co. will let children build their own stuffed animals at half price, courtesy of the market, according to the post. Longworth Construction LLC also sponsored Friday’s market, the village said.
The market has become a recurring warm-weather fixture for South Bloomfield, a Pickaway County village of 2,143 residents at the 2020 census, giving area farmers, bakers and small businesses a venue to sell directly to shoppers throughout the summer. Friday’s gathering is the last of the season before the market moves to its Saturday-morning format in September, the village said.
