HILLSBORO, Ohio — A Highland County man was arrested on an OVI charge early Saturday after a single-vehicle crash on state Route 771, according to the Highland County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to state Route 771 near state Route 138 at about 2:12 a.m. Aug. 8 in response to a single-vehicle crash, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver was identified as Timothy Mootz. Mootz was cited for failure to control a vehicle and subsequently arrested for OVI, according to the sheriff’s office. He was transported to the Highland County Jail.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
