TWIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A shed on Minnehan Bend Road caught fire Tuesday morning after being struck by lightning during a passing storm, according to the Twin Township Fire Department.

A 911 caller reported that lightning had hit the structure just before 11 a.m. When volunteer firefighters arrived on scene, the shed was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire came as storms moved through the area Tuesday, bringing heavy rain and the threat of tornadoes to the region.

No further details, including the extent of damage or whether anyone was injured, were immediately available.

The information contained in this story was obtained from the Twin Township Fire Department.
