CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Mayor Michelle L. Blanton will hold her next community meeting on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. at Zwicker House, giving residents a chance to speak with the mayor directly, the city said in a Facebook post.
The city said residents are invited to stop by, ask questions and voice concerns during the session. Anyone with questions ahead of the meeting can call Brenda Short in the mayor’s office at 740-477-8200, option 2.
The meeting will be held at Zwicker House, a restaurant and event venue at 115 E. Main St. in downtown Circleville. The building’s second floor has hosted city and community gatherings since it was converted into an event space in 2022.
Blanton has held a series of informal community meetings at rotating locations around Circleville since taking office. She was elected mayor in 2023 and sworn in Jan. 1, 2024, succeeding longtime Mayor Don McIlroy, who retired after years leading the city. Before becoming mayor, Blanton served on Circleville City Council as an at-large member starting in 2017.
The Sept. 17 meeting is open to the public, and no registration was mentioned in the announcement.
