Darrell Eugene Daniels, 57, of Frankfort, passed at 10:57 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born June 12, 1969, in Dayton, Ohio, to Rondal and Ilo Rush.
Surviving are is mother, Ilo Rush, of Frankfort; an uncle, Ira (Gladys, deceased) Bernard, of Frankfort and William Bernard, of Frankfort; an aunt, Mary (Russell) Gilmore, of Washington CH; cousins, Robert and Russell Gilmore; and many friends, including his very best friends, Jackie Strous, of Chillicothe and Charlie Shaffer, of Chillicothe. He was predeceased by his father, Rondal Rush; uncles, Robert and Johnny Bernard.
Darrell was a member of Frankfort Church of Christ where he was baptized. He was a 1988 graduate of Tecumseh High School, in Springfield, Ohio, had worked at PPG in Chillicothe for several years and was a volunteer firefighter in Bethel Township, Station 2, in Springfield, Ohio for many years and also Twin Township in Ross County.
The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff at Adena ICU, especially Kenzy and Amber, for the wonderful care given to Darrell and compassion shown to our family during this time.
A memorial graveside service is being planned and the times will be announced once they are known. The service will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, Ohio with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
