HILLSBORO, Ohio — Two people were arrested on domestic violence charges after Highland County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance call at a Mad River Road residence late Saturday, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies were dispatched to the home at approximately 9:41 p.m. Aug. 29 in reference to a reported domestic disturbance, the sheriff’s office said. An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of two individuals.

Leslie Carter was arrested and charged with domestic violence and taken to the Highland County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office. Donald Cater was also arrested and charged with domestic violence and transported to the jail, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office did not release additional details about the relationship between the two individuals or the nature of the alleged incident.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
