CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Haven House of Pickaway County will hold its 14th annual drive-by fish fry fundraiser Sept. 18, with proceeds supporting shelter, counseling and advocacy services for survivors of domestic violence, according to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.

The drive-by event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Haven House, 111 Island Road in Circleville. Sack lunches cost $15 and include a fish sandwich, coleslaw, baked beans, a cookie and a choice of pop or water, according to the organization.

The sheriff’s office promoted the fundraiser on social media, urging residents to “come out and support this wonderful cause.”

Haven House provides survivors of domestic violence and their children with emergency shelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, court advocacy, counseling, support groups and safety planning, regardless of a survivor’s ability to pay, according to the organization.

This year’s meal is being prepared with help from local sponsors, including The Savings Bank, Kingston National Bank, Pickaway County Banking Center, Berger Health, the Circleville Junior Women’s Club and area volunteer fish fryers, according to the fundraiser flyer.

Anyone with questions about the fundraiser can call Haven House at 740-477-9113, the organization said.
