CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Tecumseh! Outdoor Drama will offer pay-what-you-can tickets for the first time in the show’s history as its 2026 season closes Sunday night, according to the theater.
Beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, any remaining seats in sections 1 and 3 will be sold at a pay-what-you-can rate, with a $1 minimum per ticket, the theater said. Sales will be cash only, and there is no limit on the number of tickets a buyer may purchase.
The discounted seats will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis until they sell out, according to the theater. No tickets at the special rate will be sold before 5 p.m. on the day of the show.
The offer applies only to walk-up sales at the box office and is not available online, in advance or for package tickets, the theater said. It also does not apply to sections 2 or 4 or premium seating. Tickets purchased under the promotion do not include rain insurance and are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The production, which marked 50 years on stage in 2022, tells the story of Shawnee leader Tecumseh’s fight to defend his people’s homeland in the Ohio Country in the late 1700s.
