
Ronald Chandis Hale, 86, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026 at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 3, 1940 in New Boston, son of the late Harlan Chandis Hales and Bonnie (Eggers) McGlaughlin. Ronnie was an engineer for Norfolk & Southern Railway for over 41 years and attended Rubyville Community Church.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty (Riggs) Hale; two children, Darren Shane Hale, Dena Lynn (Scott) Wolfe; one step daughter, Jamie Justice; three grandchildren, Ashley Cobb, Brian Charles, Dillon Hale; one step-brother, Luke Queen; one half-brother, Doug Lowe, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two step children, Jimmy Bishop, Teresa (Bishop) Finn, and one brother, Larry E. Hale.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2026 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral in Minford with Pastor Brett McGraw officiating. Burial will be at Universal Cemetery in Rubyville. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
