
PHYLLIS LYNN MUSTAIN, age 90, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Adena Fayette Medical Center.
She was born on May 17, 1936 in Fayette County to the late John H. and Ethel C. (Pratt) Chaney. She was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School. Phyllis worked as a pharmacy technician for many years at Downtown Drug and Risch’s Pharmacy. She was a faithful member at Heritage Church. She enjoyed camping, bluegrass music, spending time with her family and grandchildren, and she loved her cats.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby R. “Bob” Mustain, Sr., whom she married on July 2, 1954; her siblings, Bill Chaney, Joleen (Bob) Kelley, and Bonnie (Norman) Baughn; and sister-in-law, Betty Chaney.
Survivors include her children, Sherry (Dennis) Garrison, and Bob (Lorie) Mustain; grandchildren, Ryan (Laura) Garrison, Regan (Dave) Fabb, Todd (Melissa) Mustain, Angie (Todd) Barney, and Grant Mustain; great-grandchildren, Madelyn (Caleb) Rice, Tommy Garrison, Ethan Garrison, Caden Fabb, Lexi Fabb, Ian Fabb, Mason Mustain, Maryn Mustain, Mia McPheters, and Preston Barney. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating.
