Delitha Mae Daniels, 91, of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by her loving family, at 8:26 a.m. Sunday, September 13, 2026 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born June 14, 1935 to the late Victory Pontious and Rebecca Ellen Bost. On October 9, 1954, she married Robert C. Daniels who passed February 9, 1992.

Surviving is a son Randy (Darlene) Daniels; daughters, Patty (Tony) Quincel and Tina (Roger) Woods; numerous grandchildren including those whom she raised, Mandy Daniels, Robert (Heather) Daniels, Anthony (Jordayn) Woods and Jazmin Woods; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Hollis; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Helen, Mary, Donna, Joyce and Mick. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Cathy Sue Evans; several brothers and sisters; and great grandchildren, Rylee and Reed.

Delitha was a 1953 graduate of Chillicothe High School and was a member of the former First Freewill Baptist Church. She was a devoted Child of God. Delitha was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.

The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff of National Church Residences Hospice for the wonderful care given to Delitha and compassion shown to our family during this time.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Sam Mincey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday or one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday.

The family requests that those attending the funeral, please dress in Ohio State Attire if you have it.
