CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Ross County sheriff’s deputies searched for a man early Tuesday after a woman reportedly fired a gunshot during a dispute in the 1500 block of Trego Creek Road, according to initial emergency radio traffic.

Deputies were dispatched to the area shortly before 1 a.m. after a caller reported a dispute in which a man would not get out of a vehicle, according to the radio traffic.

During the confrontation, the woman fired one round, radio traffic indicated. She was not injured, and deputies arriving on scene reported the firearm had been unloaded and left on top of the vehicle, according to the radio traffic.

The man left the area in a vehicle described on the radio as a Mitsubishi, and deputies began checking the area of State Route 3 and U.S. Route 23 in an effort to locate him, according to the radio traffic.

No injuries were reported. Deputies had not located the man as of the initial radio traffic.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
