WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — Adena Health has named Lauren King as vice president of its West Market, putting the Washington Court House native in charge of hospital operations serving Fayette and Highland counties.

King will serve as vice president of the West Market and senior operations executive for Adena Fayette Medical Center and Adena Greenfield Medical Center, according to Adena. She will lead both hospitals with a focus on expanding access to care, strengthening care delivery and enhancing the patient experience across the two counties.

King began her health care career in 2012 as a nurse at the former Fayette County Memorial Hospital, according to Adena. She joined Adena in 2014 as an emergency department nurse at Adena Regional Medical Center, then became nurse director at Adena Greenfield in 2021, overseeing inpatient units, the emergency department, surgery, respiratory services and other clinical operations.

Fayette County Memorial Hospital joined Adena in 2021, and Adena is building a new 65,000-square-foot hospital in Washington Court House to replace the aging facility.

“I know what this is going to mean for this area because I’ve seen what it means when my own family doesn’t have to travel to find quality care,” King said in a statement.
