GREENFIELD, Ohio — The Village of Greenfield is seeking sealed bids for a tree-pruning project aimed at clearing hazards from streets and sidewalks throughout the village, according to a bid notice posted by village officials.
The contract, titled “Risk Mitigation Street Clearance Tree Pruning,” calls for a contractor to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials and expertise needed to prune trees, mitigate risk and clear obstructions from streets and sidewalks across the village, the notice said.
The village will begin accepting bids Sept. 18, with submissions due by 1:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Bids are to be delivered, sealed and marked “Risk Mitigation & Street Clearance Tree Pruning,” to the Greenfield Mayor’s Office at 300 Jefferson St. Bids will be opened publicly at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 20 in council chambers on the third floor of Village Hall.
Contract specifications and additional bid documents are available for review at the Mayor’s Office or by calling 937-981-3500, the notice said.
The successful bidder must comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, regulations, licensing requirements and safety standards, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules, and must provide proof of required insurance, licenses and bonds, according to the notice. The village reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process.
The notice was issued by order of the village and signed by Rachael Crabtree, Greenfield’s director of public service and safety.
