CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Fire crews were dispatched shortly after 7:44 a.m. Monday to the area of Union Lane after a report of a fire with heavy smoke, according to initial emergency radio traffic.
Dispatchers directed responding units to the dead end of Union Lane, radio traffic indicated, and a tower ladder was among the apparatus sent to the scene.
A caller reportedly told dispatchers the structure was fully involved with heavy smoke showing, according to the radio traffic, and said she had not driven back to the dead end herself.
It was not immediately clear from radio traffic how many additional units responded or whether anyone was inside the structure at the time of the fire. No information on injuries was available as of this report.
