CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Emergency crews were dispatched to a three-vehicle crash with injuries and possible entrapment at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Veterans Parkway shortly after 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to initial emergency radio traffic.
Radio traffic indicated at least one person may have been trapped in a vehicle, prompting responding crews to request mutual aid from additional rescue squads.
Crews at the scene were heard on the radio discussing extrication equipment as they worked to free a trapped occupant, according to radio traffic.
A short time later, radio traffic indicated the mutual-aid request was called off after enough units were already on scene to handle the incident. At least one patient was heard being taken to a hospital emergency room, according to radio traffic.
