Juanita Mae Park of Chillicothe, OH passed away September 23, 2026, at 5:10am with family by her side following a courageous eight year battle with Dementia.
She was born May 14, 1948 in Chillicothe to the late Russell Whitcomb and the late Dorothy Osborne Hurles. She graduated from Waverly High School in 1966.
Surviving are her three children; Michele Renee Park (Terry Howard) of Chillicothe, Delvin Daniel Park (Debbie Leonard) of Grove City and Joni Louise Park of St. Petersburg, FL; two grandson's that were her world, Zachary Daniel (Mikaela) Park, Bryce Tyler (Kariann) Willett all of Chillicothe; two great-grandchildren, Maddox Ray Daniel Park and Kennedy Rose Willett; and the father to her children W. Dean Park of Chillicothe; a sister, Gladys Beasley of Frankfort and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Juanita is predeceased by a sister Barbara Oney, an infant brother, an infant sister and a nephew, Darnell Beasley.
Juanita a.k.a. Needy and Grandma Nita was loving, giving, determined and a hardworking woman. She loved to cook a feast on Sundays for whoever showed up. She was famous for her homemade noodles and her No Bake cookies. Juanita worked hard her whole life until she had to retire with 23 years of service from YSK Corp in 2022 of which she earned a 15 year perfect attendance award prior to. She attended Centerpoint Church and was proudly baptized March 2020. She enjoyed bowling with the girls on Wednesday nights, and taking her family to the beach for over 20 years. She took pride in her 7ft. Christmas tree with the 1000 string lights, bubble lights and traditional icicles which she hung to perfection. She had the most beautiful handwriting and loved the country band Alabama of which she knew every word to every song. Most importantly she was a caring mother who stood by her children and grandchildren. She truly was an amazing woman.
Our family would like to thank our mother's caregivers for the many years of loving care; Becky Sprouse, Cindy Fisher and Kelly Betts. They gave her companionship and love that we appreciate greatly. Also, a huge appreciation to the Adena Hospice team who showed nothing but true care and compassion to our mother and to our family.
There will not be any funeral services at this time as cremation will take place and a celebration of her life will be held May 2027 for her family and friends at Floral Hill Memory Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
