Carolyn K. Clary, 82, of Chillicothe, passed at 1:40 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2026 at Care Core at Westmorland following an extended illness.
She was born February 5, 1944, in Ross County, Ohio, to the late James H. and Elizabeth E. (Sheets) Shaw. On August 7, 1965, she married the late Franklin L. Clary.
Surviving are son, Jeffry Clary, of Ray OH and Jamie (fiancé- Kari Cook) Clary, of Monroe WI; grandchildren, Bryce (Chelsea) Clary of Blanchester, Corey (Samantha) Clary, of Athens, Curtis (Jessica) Clary, of Chillicothe, and Connor Clary, of Chillicothe; great grandchildren, Weston Clary, Brantley Clary, Lucy Clary, Sterling Clary, and Freya Clary; siblings, Michael (Maryann) Shaw, of Waverly, Ronald “Rod” Shaw, of Chillicothe, Daryl (Barbara) Shaw, of Pataskala, and Maryann (Jack) Conley, of Chillicothe and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was a 4-H advisor for Ross County and a Sunday School Teacher at the Calvary Lutheran Church, for over 30 years. Carolyn and Maryann enjoyed doing ceramics together as well as attending craft shows throughout their entire lives.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Aaron Hines officiating. Family and friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday. A private burial will be held in Londonderry Cemetery at the convivence of the family.
