OTHIE LEE “JOE” KNISLEY, age 83, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026 at his home.
He was born on September 4, 1943 in Washington CH to the late Forest and Christina (McCarty) Knisley. He attended Bloomingburg High School. Joe retired from Mac Tools in Sabina after thirty-five years of service where he worked as a highly skilled drop hammer operator. Joe attended the Good Hope Community Church. He enjoyed playing softball in his younger years, fishing, spending time with his family, and was an avid Ohio State, Cincinnati Reds, and Cleveland Browns fan.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Knisley, and his sister, Rose Knisley.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Stella Louise (Skaggs) Knisley, whom he married on June 24, 1980; his children, Jeremy (Donna) Knisley, Scott McNeal, and Thomas (Candy) McNeal; and grandchildren, Corey McNeal, Emily McNeal, Matthew, James, Ayden, and Caleb Knisley.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Don Olley officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
