CLAYTON LOWE, age 88, of Jeffersonville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at his home.
He was born on December 17, 1937 in Morehead, Kentucky to the late John and Leona (Caudill) Lowe. He proudly served in the Ohio National Guard. Clayton retired from the Fayette County Engineer’s Office after many years of service. He was a faithful member at the Bookwalter Church of Christ in Christian Union. He enjoyed going to church, witnessing to others about Jesus, playing his guitar, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Clayton was preceded in death by his son, Mark Vincent Lowe, and siblings, Norma Jean Hall, Lawrence Lowe, and Delmar Lowe.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Wilma Jean (Seymour) Lowe, whom he married on January 16, 1959; his children, Ricky Lowe, Levenia (Donnie) Munro, and Reatha (Jeff) Godlove; grandchildren, Vincent Munro, Danielle (Chris) Anthony, and Haley Davis and her fiancé, Riley Taylor; several great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Donnie Lowe. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Williams officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow.
