Henry “Hank” Barry Collins II, 61, of Waverly, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026. He was born on August 16, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio, son of Henry and the late Jeanetta Collins.

In addition to his father, Hank is survived by his children, Henry Barry Devon (Blake) Collins, III, Brady Alexander (Adrian) Collins, Abagail June (John) Nelson, Tedra (Mike) Grate, and Adrianna Kohne. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Marlowe and Henry Collins IV, Brenden, Millie, Cohhen & Nohlen Grate, Cash Kohne; one sister, Tina (Donnie) Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews, and cousins. Hank was preceded in death by his mother, whom he loved dearly. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Rosie & Bob Cordle, and Elbie & Brookie Collins.

Hank graduated from Minford High School and the Scioto County Vocational School in 1984. He spent most of his working years with his family at their business, the Minford Retirement Center, which they founded while Hank was in high school. He also operated his own tree trimming business for over a decade.

Hank climbed and trimmed trees 100 feet in the air. He rode his horses bareback. He drank Coca Cola – not water. He enjoyed traveling with his family across the Western Hemisphere, Europe, and Israel. He was baptized in the Jordan River . . . twice. He enjoyed rare steak, king crab legs, canned Vienna sausages, and the band Foreigner, but Hank’s greatest love was his family and grandchildren. Henry B. Collins II was mercurial, outspoken, independent, and beloved by those closest to him.
