It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frederick I. “Fred” Sharp, aged 81, of Hillsboro, Ohio, who left this world on October 4, 2026. He was born on November 17, 1944, in Hillsboro, Ohio, Fred was a cherished member of his community and a beloved husband to his wife, Bernice Sharp. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Clara Sharp, Jr, brothers, Frank, John and Ralph Sharp and two sons.

Fred proudly served his country in the United States Army where his dedication to service was a significant part of his identity, and it shaped the values he carried throughout his life.

As a truck driver, Fred traversed the highways and byways, enjoying the freedom of the open road, where he built lasting memories and friendships. Known for his hearty laughter, he cherished the camaraderie of fellow drivers and the stories that came with each journey. When he wasn’t behind the wheel, Fred found solace in nature, pursuing his passions for fishing and hunting in the company of dear friends and family.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, Bernice, with whom he shared a life filled with love, adventure, and countless cherished memories. Fred also leaves behind one son, one daughter, sisters, Mildred (Bob) Cramer and Mary Jordan and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. His absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him.
