CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Ross County commissioners approved a $1,458,699.83 payment to TAM Construction Inc. for work completed on the county’s 104 Sewer Project, the 10th pay application issued on the project, during their Oct. 5 regular meeting.
Commissioners also approved a change order and the seventh pay application for the Bainbridge Water Line Replacement Project, which is partially funded with federal Community Development Block Grant money. Project engineer DLZ reviewed and signed off on the completed work before commissioners authorized the payment.
In other construction business, commissioners approved a contingency credit on an Appalachian Community Grant Program-funded project tied to the county’s UNESCO World Heritage designation, returning unused budgeted funds to project owners at no cost to the county. They also amended the design contract with American Structurepoint for the same project to add a required as-built survey, also at no additional expense to the county.
Commissioners separately approved an amendment increasing the Appalachian Community Grant Program award for a Monroe Arts Council project by $50,000 and an amendment adding $50,000 in state funding to an ACGP grant agreement between Ross County and the Belmont County Port Authority for the Black Horse Inn project.
The board also approved about $4.3 million in routine bills for county departments, several inter-fund transfers, and appropriations including $42,715 for Ross County Probate Court guardianship services and $93,425.21 for the South Central Ohio Regional Juvenile Detention Center’s September invoice.
