Lyle David Hatcher, 71, of Waverly, Ohio, passed 8:53 a.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at his home.
David was born June 11, 1955, in Chillicothe, Ohio, the son of the late Ernest Milton Hatcher, and Elizabeth Ida (Tarr) Hatcher. On September 17, 2015, he was united in marriage to Julee Tamara (Shirkey) Hatcher, who survives.
He is also survived by his son, Matthew (Natasha) Hatcher; his daughter, Sarah Hatcher-Brannan; his stepson, Derek (Cortney) Shirkey; two grandchildren, Jonathan Hatcher, and Chase Brannan; two siblings, Nora Kathleen Smiley, and James (Cheryl) Hatcher; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Allan Hatcher; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Smiley.
Lyle was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country as an airman for twenty years. He went on to work as a cook and janitor at Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, Michigan
Visitation will not be observed. Arrangements are under the care of Boyer Cremation Services.
