Tona Ruth Byrd, 64, of Waverly, Ohio, passed 11:34 a.m., Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Adena Pike Medical Center, Waverly, Ohio.
Tona was born December 5, 1961, in Chillicothe, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leo Allen Byrd, and Sonja Delores (Maple) Byrd.
She is survived by two children, Curtis B. Dixon, Jr, and Autumn D. Wolfe; six grandchildren, Amerykah Dixon, Arian Dixon, Xavier Dixon, Shaylee Eubanks, Alexa Hutt, and Paisley Wolfe; 4 great grandchildren, Grayson, Lucas, Samuel, and Henry; bonus grandchildren, Makiah, Ethan, and Autumn; her siblings, Bruce Allen Byrd, and Shasta Yvonne Byrd; her significant other of sixteen years, Scott Selvage; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Tona previously worked at Kenworth as a line employee and was a member of the Waverly Fraternal Order of Eagles, #2227-Aerie. She always worked hard as a single mother to build a better life for her and her children, always making the most of every situation. She loved to sing and dance, Harley Davidson motorcycles, bluegrass music, and most of all, her family and her grandchildren.
Visitation will not be observed. Arrangements are under the care of Boyer Cremation Services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
