
William Ronald Booth, “Ronnie”, age 80, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed peacefully at home with family, September 28, 2026.
He was born July 27, 1946, in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late William R. and Hazel (Banks) Booth of Chillicothe, Ohio.
Ronnie served his country in the United States Army for 2 years as a member of the 101st Airborne Division based at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. He was a certified welder and painter retired from Vitatoe Industries. Ronnie was a true motorhead at heart. He was an avid expert auto mechanic who loved getting his hands dirty. A skilled dirt track car owner & driver. Also, a dedicated NASCAR fan. Passionate Harley Davidson enthusiast, Ronnie spent some of his happiest hours on two wheels or working in his garage.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Marsha Watkins Booth and brother-in-law Phil Seymour.
He is survived by his sister Kathy Ann Seymour, daughter Jamie (Fred) Proctor, grandsons William & Cole Proctor, and nieces Tracey (Jeff) Creed and Theresa Fisher.
Please join us celebrating his life 1:30 p.m., Thursday October 1, 2026, at Boyer Funeral Home, 125 W, 2nd Street, Waverly, Ohio 45690 with Pastor David Maughmer officiating. Graveside service to follow at Grandview Cemetery in Chillicothe, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the beginning of the service on Thursday at the funeral home in Waverly.
A celebration of life dinner will be held 5:30 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Ohio.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that you check the air in your tires, the belts and all the spark plug wires just as Ronnie would.
