CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Enderlin Circle will close for four days starting Thursday as the city prepares Yoctangee Park for its annual Halloween Festival, according to the City of Chillicothe.
The closure begins at 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, and runs through 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, the city said in a road closure notice posted to its Facebook page. Enderlin Circle, which curves along the Yoctangee Park lake, and the nearby Paint Street Park entrance will both be shut down for the span.
The festival itself runs downtown Friday and Saturday, Oct. 9-10, according to the Chillicothe Transit System’s October schedule, which has the city’s free downtown trolley skipping its Enderlin Circle stop on both nights to accommodate the event.
The closure comes about a month after the city finished paving Enderlin Circle as part of a broader round of upgrades at Yoctangee Park. It is also the second time this fall the road has closed for a park event — Enderlin Circle shut down in September for the Ruck 22 veterans event.
The city asked drivers to plan alternate routes through Yoctangee Park during the closure and directed questions to its service department at 740-773-2700 or [email protected].
