
Terry Michael Wooten, 73, of Chillicothe, passed away early Saturday morning, October 10, 2026 at his home, following a brief illness.
He was born February 8, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Thomas Kenneth Wooten and Gertrude Legg. On February 19, 1994, he married his beloved wife, Joan E. (Minniear) Wooten, who survives.
Also surviving is his step-mother, Mona Wooten; four beloved children, Christopher Wooten, Lainie (Kevin) Monica-Owens, Kevin Michael Wooten, and Adrienne (Stacey) Monica-Howell; grandchildren, Ryan "Lu" Menge, Jackson Henry Gualterrie, Alex Michael Wooten, Christopher Dakota Wooten, Cole Wooten, and Saige Wooten; one great-granddaughter, Eulalia Wooten; his siblings, Don Minnick, Tom Wooten, Tim Wooten, and Jeff Wooten; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and beloved friends.
Terry was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. He went on to work for the United States Postal Service for many years before retiring in 2010. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved going camping, hunting, and boating. He loved riding motorcycles, ATVs, Jet Skiis, and everything in between. He was also an experienced Padi Dive Instructor for many years.
In accordance with his wishes, a private celebration of life service is being planned and will be announced by the family at their convenience.
