Hilda Marie Thomas, 89, of Waverly, Ohio, passed 10:10 p.m., Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Traditions at Bristol Village, Waverly, Ohio.
Hilda was born August 7, 1937, in Waverly, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert Butler, and Norma Jean (Carlier) Butler. She was united in marriage to Scottie Wade Thomas, Sr, who preceded her in death on June 30, 1997.
She is survived by three sons, Randy (Mary) Thomas, Mark (Sonie) Thomas, and Rick (Shirley) Thomas; six grandchildren, Tyler Thomas, Nicole Smith, Cynthia (Austin Parrett) Reichelderfer, Derek Thomas, Drex Welch, and Laken Chain; fifteen great grandchildren; two siblings, Butch Carlier, and Susie Carlier; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Scottie Wade Thomas, Jr; a grandson, Adam Welch; and three siblings, Joe Carlier, Patty Carlier, and Tom Carlier.
Hilda was a Waverly High School graduate and previously worked as the supervisor at a mental health clinic in Pike County, Ohio, where she retired after many years of service. She enjoyed reading the Bible, loved the holidays, and took great pride in taking care of her family.
Private family services will be held at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow at Evergreen Union Cemetery, Bridge Street.
