Sharon E. Hille, Artist, age 85, passed away at home on Friday, October 23, 2026. She was born August 11, 1941, in Somerset, Ky to Irene Bland and Ernest Tartar.

She was a 1965 graduate of Indiana State College. She was an Art teacher at Western Local School and a Spanish teacher at Huntington High School. Her greatest passion was for creating art. After retiring, Sharon spent almost every day creating her own art. She would get together with former students and friends once a month for their monthly coloring session. At each session she would bring a new drawing she created and would teach them about shading with different colors. She loved to have deep and meaningful conversations with friends, family, and even a stranger that she just met. She wasn't a shy person. She had an ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She touched a lot of people's hearts.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Dan Cooper, "adopted" son Michael Smith, many cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

She did not want a funeral. She wanted people to remember her for the person she was to them.

The SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family.
