BOURNEVILLE, Ohio — Twin Township Volunteer Fire Department will open its station parking lot to trick-or-treaters this Thursday night for a free community Beggars Night and trunk-or-treat event.

Firefighters and other department members will be on hand passing out candy to children, and the department is also providing complimentary hot dogs and freshly popped popcorn, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

Area residents and organizations are invited to set up vehicles in the station’s parking lot for the trunk-or-treat portion of the event, giving children a chance to go car to car collecting candy in a supervised, well-lit setting. The department asked anyone planning to set up a vehicle to arrive in time to be ready before trick-or-treaters begin arriving Thursday evening.
