DOROTHY LEE EDWARDS, age 85, of Leesburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
She was born on February 7, 1941 in Washington CH to the late Virgil and Viginia (Chaney) Moore. Dorothy retired from Calmar after almost thirty years of service. She enjoyed camping, cooking out, gardening, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sons, Paul Henderson, and Jeff Henderson; siblings, Steve Moore, Noreen Ford, and Dean Moore; and her beloved canine companion, Carly.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Jerry Willard Edwards, Sr.; children, Cathy Wilson, Michael Wilson, and Charles Henderson; stepchildren, Lora Morgan, and Jerry, Jr. (Ann) Edwards; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Pat (Jack) Fox, David (Anita) Moore, and Phillip Moore; and her “Pug,” Bella. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Greenfield Cemetery with Jeff Davis officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Summers Funeral Home on Thursday morning from 10-12:00 p.m.
