Roger Eugene Finch, age 69, of Circleville, OH, moved on to his final rest on November 2nd, 2026 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, OH after a brief, but hard-fought battle with lung cancer. Born on October 19th, 1957 in Columbus, OH, Roger was the son of the late William Finch and Janette Finch. He graduated from Westfall HS in 1975 and went on to work as a semi-truck driver for various dispatchers, and occasionally as owner-operater of his own truck, all the way until shortly before his death. When Roger wasn't on the road, he was often relaxing at home, and enjoyed watching various programs alone or with family, such as Star Trek: The Next Generation, Walker: Texas Ranger, and Matlock. In his younger years, he also enjoyed drawing, particularly semi-trucks and World War 2 fighter planes. Although his job often kept him away from the house, Roger always did his best to provide for his family financially. Roger is survived by his children: Jeremy Finch and his wife, Aina Finch; Ian Finch; and Cassie Yeagle. He is also survived by his older sister, Maryjane Saunders, and his younger brother, Bradley Finch. Finally, he also leaves behind his beautiful grandchildren: Micah, Rebekah, Jude, Jayden, an Elijah, who will all miss their grandfather, and his big truck, dearly. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Melinda, and his beloved wife, Shawna. Visitation hours will be held on Friday, November 6th from 4:00pm – 6:00pm, followed by a short "Celebration of Rememberence" service at Wellman's Funeral Home located on 1455 N Court St, Circleville, OH, 43113 for family and close friends.
